Nursing Home Violations

Nursing homes are subject to fines when they violate the Connecticut General Statutes or the Regulations for Connecticut State Agencies.

Parkville Care Center received a fine for a violation in 2018.

A nurse used an alcohol prep pad to clean a glucometer machine, but should have used a disinfectant wipe. The disinfectant wipe is explained as a proper cleaning method in the instructions. This was a seemingly minor issue, as it resulted in a one dollar fine.
