Residential Care

Residential care options at Masonicare include:

  • Assisted living
  • Independent living
  • Adult care
  • Memory care
  • Short term care and respite care

If your elderly loved one is in need of one of these solutions, Masonicare could help.

Assisted living at Masonicare Health Center offers both independence and support. Residents have private apartments that vary in size, depending on your loved one’s needs.

Independent living is also an option at Masonicare. Residents will have security and the support that they need, while being able to maintain their independence.

Adult day care options are also available for everyday care. If caregivers need to work or take a break, elderly loved ones can spend time in the adult day program.

Memory loss can be especially difficult for an elderly loved one. It presents challenges for their safety as well as their health. Those facing memory loss issues need specialized treatment. Masonicare offers this treatment for patients facing memory issues.

If someone is interested in living at the facility, they offer short term stays to test out if it is a good fit. The facility also offers respite care in the event that a caregiver needs a short term break.

Before deciding on a care facility for an elderly loved one, it is important to consider any violations that the facility has faced. Even the best facilities, or facilities that present themselves as thorough and caring, can receive violations.

In 2017, Masonicare Health Center received two violations related to a resident. The first violation occurred due to failure to monitor a pressure sore in the resident. This sore was not properly treated, and grew progressively worse.

In addition, the resident was not given their proper medication. During the resident’s two week stay, a total of 30 doses of medication were missed by the staff. This resulted in the postponement of a cardioversion, due to the threat of blood clots.

These violations were classified as class B violations and resulted in a $2,150.00 fine.
