Public Health Code Violation

While Masonicare Health Center has a lot of great amenities and services for the elderly, it is not perfect. In 2018, Masonicare received a Public Health Code violation. This is something that you should take into consideration before you choose this home for a family members.

The Public Health Code violation occurred in 2017. One of the residents at the facility was admitted after an injury. It was also noted that the resident was struggling with diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and other issues. The staff was told that the resident was at risk for pressure ulcers, or bedsores, and that proper measures needed to be taken to prevent this issue. Unfortunately, a bedsore did develop, despite the fact that preventative measures should have been taken.

As a result of this issue, the home was fined $3,900.

It is important to consider both the good and bad elements of a facility before deciding to send your loved one there. For more information about Masonicare Health Center, contact our office.
