Madison House Violation

Despite the amenities and services available to the elderly at Madison House, this care facility is not perfect. The facility received a citation for a violation that occurred in 2017. A resident at the facility suffered swelling and bruising on their arm. This was due to the fact that the staff was picking up the resident by the arms and pants to get them in and out of bed. A staff member also attempted to move the resident on their own, even though the resident’s care plan specifies that at least two people are necessary to move the resident.

These issues resulted in a class B violation of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies. The Madison House was fined $2,310 as a result of this violation.
