Watch Out For Violations

While the Beacon Brook Health Center offers many amenities and services for the elderly, there are drawbacks to the facility. One drawback to consider is a recent violation of Connecticut General Statutes, resulting in harm to a resident.

In 2017, a resident experienced abuse in the facility at the hand of another resident. This abuse was sexual in nature. As a result, the offending resident was not to be allowed in the victim’s room. However, this was not noted in the offending resident’s care plan. As a result, the offending resident physically and separately harassed the victim on multiple separate occasions.

This is a class B violation of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies and Public Health Code. It resulted in a $1,530 fine.
